Dawn McNaughten, MD

Grand Lake Physician Practices

Dr. Dawn McNaughton is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. She was the recipient of the United States Air Force Health Professions Scholarship which led to 11 years of military service. This service varied from deployment to Kuwait after 9/11 as the Director of Base Medical Services at Al Jaber Air Base, manning assist duties in Montana, to permanent and temporary assignments in California, Florida, Texas and Alabama. This travel provided her with broad exposure of different patient care approaches and techniques. Dr. McNaughton practiced for 2 years in the Cincinnati area after completing her military service and then moved back to her rural childhood hometown of New Bremen, OH. She just celebrated her 11th anniversary of employment at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital where she serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Grand Lake Physician Practices, Wright Rural Medical Scholars liaison and as a volunteer 3rd year Boonshoft School of Medicine family medicine clerkship clinical preceptor. She is the proud mom of three exceptionally active children and can be found on the sidelines of sporting events most days of the week. Dr. McNaughton is very involved in her family’s church, has volunteered as a YMCA coach and remains supportive of her husband who owns Golftec Dayton providing individualized golf instruction to clients.
